Former Leigh and Castleford prop Jake Emmitt, who was initially sin-binned for a technical offence, was given a red card after staying on the field to throw a series of punches and has been charged with a grade C offence, which carries a suspension of two to three matches.

Stand-off Blake Wallace, who was also sent off, and winger Liam Kay, who was sin-binned, were both charged with grade B offences, along with Oxford captain Callum Windley, who was the third player shown a red card.

The best of the action from the Wolfpack's League 1 home debut win over Oxford

Toronto hooker Sean Penkywicz, whose late sin-binning meant the Wolfpack ended the game with just 10 men, has been charged with a minor grade A offence of head-butting.

The charges were brought by the Rugby Football League's match-review panel and, unless they submit early guilty pleas, the players will face a hearing in Leeds on Tuesday.
