On-loan Huddersfield hooker Scott Moore is desperate to knock parent club St Helens out of the Challenge Cup on Sunday as he looks to prove he has a future at Knowsley Road.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell with the Giants this season, establishing himself as a vital part of the side and earning an England call-up.
And, with Huddersfield aiming to end Saints' domination of the competition when they meet at Warrington this weekend, Moore is eager to show what he can do.
"There has been a lot of banter flying around this week with text messages between myself and the lads at Saints," he said.
"I've been on the books there since I was 13 and have got so many fond memories of growing up at the club.
"I'm very good friends with a lot of the lads, so it will be great to play against them.
"Hopefully I can get one over on them and rub it in a bit."
He added: "There's definitely an extra incentive to do well on Sunday.
"Playing Saints makes me even more determined to win because I'm coming up against a lot of my mates - the likes of Kyle Eastmond, Jon Wilkin, James Graham and Bryn Hargreaves."
However, although he is planning to do all he can for the Giants this year, he says he has every intention of fighting for his place at Saints when the loan expires.
"I'm definitely going back there next year, regardless," he said.
"I've got another year on my contract but I'm not really looking beyond that at the moment.
"I'm just enjoying playing for Huddersfield and hopefully I can go back to Saints and make a difference."
