Catalans Dragons prop David Ferriol will miss France's Gillette Four Nations match against New Zealand.

France lose front rower for New Zealand clash

David Ferriol has been suspended for France's Gillette Four Nations match against New Zealand on Saturday. The Catalans Dragons prop was placed on report for striking Kevin Sinfield during France's 34-12 defeat to England on October 23. The match review panel met on Monday and handed Ferriol a one-match ban. He will be available to return for France's final group game against Australia in Paris on November 7, although the French Federation have until 11am (GMT) on Tuesday to appeal the decision. Centre Jean Philippe Baille is free to face the Kiwis after the match review panel decided that his sending-off for a high tackle on England scrum-half Richard Myler was sufficient punishment. Baile, the team's vice-captain, was shown a red card by New Zealand referee Leon Williamson just a minute before full-time at the Keepmoat Stadium.
