The Super League club continued their strengthening after landing former Leeds Rhino Scruton on a one-year deal.
The 29-year-old joins ex-Bulls playmaker Jarrod Sammut at the Wildcats, while Scott Anderson, Pita Godinet and Matt Ryan only arrived just before the new season.
Agar is delighted to have strength in depth at his disposal although he knows it will take time for the new faces to adapt to their formations and systems.
Wakefield lost their opening games to Salford and Bradford and now Agar is looking forward to returning to winning ways, starting with the Warriors.
"We've had an influx of new players (in recent weeks)," Agar told the club's official website.
"We'd have loved to have got them here in pre-season with everyone else but for us now our training's going to take on a bit of a different slant.
"We're not going to expect these boys to slot straight in. We're probably going to take a couple of steps back and try to revisit some sessions we'd have normally done in pre-season and give our squad a crash course in some of our systems and how we want to play.
"It's going to take some time to gel and get everybody on the same page but I'm really pleased, given the adversity we faced, to get to the point now with the squad we've put together, we think we've done a good job to this point.
"For us now it's getting the team in sync as quickly as we can and set about winning some games."
