Super League: Prop forward Jonny Walker released by Hull KR

Hull KR have released prop forward Jonny Walker from the remainder of his contract in order to allow him to play elsewhere.
The 23-year-old joined from Castleford Tigers on a three-year deal this season, but injury has restricted the former Bradford Bulls youngster to just eight appearances.
Walker is the third departure from the KC Lightstream Stadium this week after the exit of head coach Craig Sandercock while Craig Hall is to join Wakefield Wildcats in 2015.
“Hull Kingston Rovers have agreed to release prop forward Jonny Walker from his contract with immediate effect in his pursuit of regular first team football elsewhere,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
“The front-rower joined from Super League rivals Castleford Tigers in the off season but has made just eight appearances for the Robins during a campaign disrupted by injury.
