With the regular season completed, the Rugby Football League announced the nine-fixture play-off schedule on Sunday evening.
And if the Giants - who led the division for the first time in 81 years - successfully beat the Warriors, they will fast-forward straight to the third week of the schedule where they can hand-pick their semi-final opponents.
Other matches to be played this opening week include a contest between the teams that finished second and third in the final Super League table - Warrington and Leeds.
This will be a repeat of last year's Grand Final when the Rhinos emerged triumphant in Manchester.
The losers of the matches involving Hull FC and Catalans Dragons, and St Helens and Hull KR are eliminated altogether.
However, the teams beaten in the games at Huddersfield and Warrington are given another opportunity to reach the last four.
