On-loan Wakefield man not thinking about next season

Wakefield Wildcats' on-loan centre Paul Sykes insists he is not looking beyond the end of the Stobart Super League season. The 30-year-old, who is contracted to Bradford until the end of the 2013 campaign, joined the Wildcats on a season-long loan. Sykes is enjoying playing week-in, week-out once again and believes it is too early to be thinking about next year. The former London Broncos back is enjoying his time with Wakefield and has thanked coach Richard Agar for the opportunity.

Focus

"I am just focusing on playing," Sykes told the Yorkshire Evening Post. "We'll deal with that when the time comes. "I haven't thought about, I am just thinking about this season and we'll see what happens then. "I am back playing first team rugby and I have got the opportunity to play week-in, week-out. "It was frustrating not playing every week. I've been playing every week since I was 18 and the last year or so was the first time it has happened to me. "Richard asked me to come down here and I jumped at the chance."
