Leeds hooker Paul McShane is in danger of missing out on playing against his own club after being accused of foul play.
McShane, who is on loan from the Rhinos to Widnes, has been charged with use of the forearm in a tackle on Bradford full-back Brett Kearney during the Vikings' 38-26 Stobart Super League defeat at Bradford on August 5.
He is accused of a grade B offence, which carries a ban of up to two matches, and has the option of submitting an early guilty plea to avoid facing a Rugby Football League disciplinary hearing.
McShane has played in Widnes' last eight matches, three of which brought victories to lift them off the foot of the table, and will face the Rhinos at Headingley on Friday if he avoids suspension because Leeds opted not to insert an exclusion clause in the loan agreement.
Collis, Westerman charged
Wakefield centre Dean Collis and Hull back-row forward Joe Westerman are also facing grade B charges.
Collis is accused of making a dangerous throw on forward Stuart Jones in Sunday's derby defeat at Castleford while Westerman was put on report for a reckless high tackle on Wigan prop Epalahame Lauaki in last Friday's 48-10 defeat at the DW Stadium.
The players were charged by the RFL's match-review panel, which issued formal cautions to Castleford forward Steve Snitch for a trip on Wakefield captain Danny Kirmond and Wigan full-back Sam Tomkins for kicking out in the tackle.
