Last year's runners-up came into the game on an eight-match winning run, but the Rhinos were knocked out at the fifth round stage courtesy of an impressive defensive display from Paul Anderson's Giants.
Huddersfield even finished the match a man down after Joe Wardle was sent off in the second half, however the Rhinos failed to show enough guile to break down a superb rearguard from the hosts.
The silver lining for the Super League champions is their early elimination provides Brian McDermott's side with three free weekends, although Sinfield is taking no consolation from that.
"It's not something I want to think about," Sinfield told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"I enjoy playing every week. Perhaps we'll address it this week and talk about it, but at this minute in time it's too disappointing.
"We have to bounce back, but I don't think talking about time off will do us any good at this stage.
"We just have to get ready to work hard and prepare for a tough game against Saints next week.
"I don't think it would matter who we play next, Super League is so tight and tough.
"It will be nice to be back home after being on the road for a few weeks and hopefully we can get a good following and put in a much better performance."
