Leeds Rhinos’ young back Luke Briscoe will spend the remainder of the season on loan with Championship One side Hunslet Hawks.
Briscoe, who scored a try in last Friday’s Super League defeat to Bradford Bulls, made two appearances for Wakefield Wildcats earlier in the season.
Head coach Brian McDermott feels the 20-year-old, who is the younger brother of Leeds’ England international Tom, wil benefit from regular rugby to end the campaign.
McDermott told the club’s official website: “Luke has worked hard this season both during his time on loan at Wakefield and with us and has not looked out of place when called upon to play in the first team.
“He will benefit from a continued run in the Hunslet side, especially in some high pressure games as the Hawks look to finish their season on a high."
Hunslet’s director of rugby Darren Williams: “Luke will give us cover in the centre/ wing positions which was needed as Aston Wilson is currently out with a bruised heel and Gavin Duffy who is on loan from Keighley can be recalled weekly if needed by his parent club.
“He is a big powerful athlete who is hungry to play regularly having only played five games so far this season."
