The Broncos produced a hard-working performance but were eventually worn down by Saints, who prevailed 38-10 with the help of a pair of Francis Meli tries.
"I was pleased," said Cunningham. "It was an ugly win and it's three wins in a row now.
"The boys are a bit down over the second half though. We will recover and go again next week.
"We spoke at half-time about London and you have to give them credit for what they are going through. Tony (Rea, coach) is doing a great job. They have a lot of injuries and we are going well, so it's hard for them.
"We were guilty in the early part of the year of not starting well and we altered that. We want to pride ourselves on our start and we did that in both halves."
London coach Rea said: "We are down on troops, energy and confidence. We are fighting as hard as we can.
"The players are disappointed. We didn't do the basics and we didn't play smart.
"We need to address our start, we are in a bit of a grind and it's happened in a few encounters now. We need to keep it simple and we gave the opposition too much field position.
"There are some positives, in that we are giving some young lads some opportunities and the older players are putting their hands up too. We are sticking together and I think it showed tonight."
