Warriors winger could miss Leeds Rhinos clash
Josh Charnley is doubtful for Wigan Warriors' Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final against Leeds Rhinos on July 14 at Huddersfield.
The free-scoring winger sustained a calf injury during England's 32-20 defeat by the Exiles on Wednesday, and will miss Warriors' Super League game at Wakefield this weekend.
Charnley has been outstanding for Wigan this season having scored 25 tries and coach Shaun Wane has labelled his absence as 'disappointing'.
Doubtful
"Josh will miss Wakefield and, to be honest, is also a doubt for the Leeds game which is hugely disappointing," he told the club's
official website.
"He is struggling to put his foot down today (Thursday), we will just have to wait and see."
Wane is undecided whether Sam Tomkins or Chris Tuson will assume goal-kicking duties with Charnley sidelined.
"Sam or Chris Tuson, if he's fit, Tuse can kick, he kicked for me when I was 18's coach," he concluded.
