The Warriors have exercised an option in Wane's contract which keeps him in charge for the 2014 season.
Wigan announced the news three days before Saturday's Challenge Cup final against Hull at Wembley, where Wane will attempt to deliver a second trophy in as many seasons.
The former Warriors forward - appointed at the end of the 2011 season - secured the League Leaders' Shield in his first year.
Owner and chairman Ian Lenagan said: "We are all delighted that Shaun will be with us again next season.
"Shaun has done everything we have asked of him, and as far as we are concerned, it would have been silly not to take up the option.
"We can all see the input he's made on the team and the way the players have responded to having Shaun as the head coach."
