Josh Charnley: Saracens' Joel Tomkins would be welcomed back at Wigan Warriors
Josh Charnley says Joel Tomkins would be welcome back at Wigan after being linked with a rugby league return to Salford.

Tomkins left Wigan to join the Aviva Premiership club in November and has made a smooth transition to rugby union, playing three times for England in last year's autumn internationals.
The 27-year-old is thought to be a target for Salford's ambitious owner Marwan Koukash, however, Charnley thinks Tomkins would come back to Wigan if he decided to play league again.
"It was interesting to see Salford linked with Joel Tomkins should he return to rugby league from rugby union next year," Charnley told the Manchester Evening News.
"I don't know what Joel's plans are but if he is to return, he will be back at Wigan. Nothing has really changed while Joel has been away.
"He knows the system, we know him and it's logical for him to do what he was doing before leaving.
"I am sure the same can be said for his brother, Sam, when he considers a return home. Wigan will certainly welcome back both Joel and Sam."
England international Charnley will play no part in Good Friday's clash with St Helens as he is recovering from a knee injury.
"I am now off crutches and am getting by with the use of a knee brace," he continued.
"The past fortnight has mainly been spent doing some upper body weight work, but leg weight work has now started as well.
"The Wigan lads will not need any motivation for Saints. This is the big one and we travel to their place, where we have a good record."
You can catch Wigan Warriors in action on Good Friday as they battle rivals St Helens live on Sky Sports 1HD from 12.15pm
