New Zealand full-back Kevin Locke is backing England to upset the odds against Australia in the Gillette Four Nations final at Elland Road on Saturday.
Locke damaged his shoulder in the early stages of England's crucial 28-6 victory over defending champions New Zealand in Hull.
And the 22-year-old believes England can now win the title for the first time in seven attempts - particularly as the Kangaroos will be without top-ranked full-back Billy Slater.
"It's going to be an interesting one," Locke said. "I think England are strong enough to beat Australia.
"Having Billy Slater out is a blow for them. Darius Boyd certainly does a good job at the back but Billy Slater is a key player and he's certainly going to be missed.
"Sam Tomkins is a class player who has a huge, huge future. He's a dangerous player. He's unpredictable and good on his feet."
