Ludovico Nitoglia, Filippo Giusti and Gideon La Grange all crossed as the Italians built a 22-3 lead at the break.
Munster, without their Ireland internationals due to the Six Nations, had just an Ian Keatley penalty to show for their efforts at that stage.
The Irish province did manage a penalty try in the 49th minute, which also saw Treviso hooker Giovanni Maistri sent to the sin-bin. Stand-off Keatley added the conversion to reduce his side's deficit to 22-10.
But the visitors' comeback failed to advance any further as Fabio Semenzato touched down in the 60th minute to secure Treviso a bonus point.
And Giulio Toniolatti added Treviso's fifth try late on to seal their seventh RaboDirect Pro12 win of the season.
