Wales have made six changes to their team for the Rugby World Cup Pool A decider with Australia on Saturday, while wing George North has been moved to centre.

North will start at outside-centre for the third time in his Test career, the last time being the 33-28 defeat to the Wallabies in November last year.

Gareth Anscombe will make his World Cup debut at full-back, leaving scrum-half Mike Phillips as the only member of the squad yet to play in the tournament.

Sam Warburton moves to the blindside flank, with Justin Tipuric at openside, which means no place in the 23 for Dan Lydiate.

The two props are changed - Paul James replaces Gethin Jenkins as the loosehead, with Samson Lee in for Tomas Francis at tighthead.

Luke Charteris replaces Bradley Davies in the second row.

In the backs, Anscombe comes in for Matthew Morgan at 15, with North partnering Jamie Roberts in midfield at the expense of Tyler Morgan, who misses out on the squad.

Only two men in the Wales starting line-up have beaten Australia. Alun Wyn Jones and Roberts both featured in Wales' 21-18 victory over the Wallabies in Cardiff on 29 November 2008.

And Wales coach Warren Gatland says the game will feature two teams full of confidence: "Saturday is another huge encounter, and both sides will be coming in with momentum and looking to top Pool A.

"We have been impressed with Australia so far in this competition, and we know a step up is required at Twickenham this weekend.

"It is still all to play for in terms of the knockout phases.

"We've trained well this week, had a full squad to pick from and it is great to welcome back players from injury."

However, Wales have not toppled the Wallabies since 2008, although seven of those 10 losses have been by five points or fewer.

Wales: 15 Gareth Anscombe, 14 Alex Cuthbert, 13 George North, 12 Jamie Roberts, 11 Liam Williams, 10 Dan Biggar, 9 Gareth Davies; 1 Paul James, 2 Scott Baldwin, 3 Samson Lee, 4 Luke Charteris, 5 Alun Wyn Jones, 6 Sam Warburton (capt), 7 Justin Tipuric, 8 Taulupe Faletau.
