Tony Woodcock's long Test career is over after he suffered a hamstring injury during New Zealand's World Cup win over Tonga.

The prop has been ruled out for three weeks, meaning a premature end to a tournament earmarked as his last in international rugby.

Joe Moody has been called up as a replacement ahead of the knockout stages.

Just two New Zealanders - Richie McCaw and Kevin Mealamu - have won more All Blacks caps than Woodcock's 118, the first of which he earned back in 2002.

Coach Steve Hansen said: "It's obviously gutting and disappointing for Woody. He has played his last Test, New Zealanders should be very proud of him."
