Luke Charteris will captain Wales as they continue their tour of New Zealand with a match against the Chiefs at the FMG Stadium in Hamilton on Tuesday, live on Sky Sports 1 HD from 7.15am.

The lock will captain his country for the first time and leads a side that will be eager to show their worth and push their cases for Test selection.

Live Tour Match

After making his international debut off the bench at Eden Park, Ellis Jenkins gains his first start at openside flanker while the front row trio of Rob Evans, Scott Baldwin and Tomas Francis all featured in every game of this year's RBS 6 Nations.

Following the news that George North's hamstring injury has ruled him out of tour, the two starting wingers, Tom James and Eli Walker, will be well aware that there is a vacant Test spot up for grabs.

The home side will be led by former World Cup winner Stephen Donald, who takes over the No 10 jersey due to Aaron Cruden and Damian McKenzie being away on international duty.

The Chiefs will be missing no less than eight All Blacks and, like Wales, are handing a starting debut to one of their flankers - 22-year-old Mitchell Brown.

This will be the first time that an international touring side has visited the Chiefs and to mark the occasion, the home side will perform a haka ahead of kick-off, something that they have never done in their 20-year history.

Ahead of the match, Wales' head coach Warren Gatland has highlighted the importance of the midweek Test for those selected.

"Tuesday is a huge opportunity for these players, they have trained hard and are ready to get game time under their belts" said Gatland.

"Coming all the way to New Zealand, it was important we had a big enough squad for the three Tests but also to provide game time for the players on tour and this match gives the players a chance to stake their claim for the final two Tests against the All Blacks."
