Wales centre aiming for Heineken Cup return

Ospreys centre James Hook is targeting a return to action in time for the start of the Heineken Cup. Hook is currently recovering after undergoing an operation on his shoulder - with the injury forcing him to miss Wales' tour to New Zealand. However had he delayed the operation to take part in the two Tests then he would have been unlikely to have been fit in time for the autumn internationals. And although the 25-year-old will be sidelined for the kick-off of the Magners League campaign, Hook has set his sights on being back to full fitness for the Heineken Cup - which gets underway in October. "I will miss the first few games of the season," said Hook. "From what they are telling me, I am looking at the end of September before I will be able to play, which isn't so bad. "The Heineken Cup will be on us before we know it - in the second weekend of October - and I would like to be able to get a few games under my belt before then and get match-fit in time for the first one. That has to be the target. "But I am not going to rush it, or do anything stupid. I am working closely with the physios, and when they think I am ready and I feel ready, then that will be the right time for me."
