Tendai "The Beast" Mtawarira showcases outstanding physical strength

South Africa clinched a thrilling 30-23 win over Argentina in their opening Rugby Championship clash and Tendai 'Beast' Mtawarira showed some incredible strength in the process.

The prop, with one of the most recognisable nicknames in world rugby, lived up to his moniker during the tense Rugby Championship opener for the Boks on Saturday.

Midway through the match at the Mbombela Stadium, Argentina kicked a restart for which the Zimbabwe-born front rower lifted Eben Etzebeth to secure the take.

Etzebeth began to fall backwards, but Beast managed to keep him in the air in an impressive feat of strength before bringing the second rower to the ground safely.

This isn't the first time that Mtawarira has kept a second rower from falling to the ground. Back in 2012 he performed almost exactly the same move in Super Rugby when the Sharks took on the Stormers in Round 14, this time it was Anton Breslar who stretched to catch the ball and found himself falling back.
