Somoa international winger signs three-year contract extension.

London Irish have secured the services of winger Sailosi Tagicakibau for a further three years after he signed a contract extension with the Exiles. Tagicakibau has bagged tries in the last three games for Irish and the club have responded by handing the Samoa international a three-year contract extension. The 25-year-old winger was due to end his spell with the Guinness Premiership side at the end of the season but his new deal will keep him at the Madesjki until the summer of 2011. Tagicakibau believes that the Exiles can become a real force both in Premiership and European rugby and was happy to sign his new contract. "I've enjoyed my rugby at London Irish," he said. "We want to play an attractive style of rugby with ball in hand and that suits me. "We're making progress as a squad. I feel there's lots of potential for us both in this country and in Europe and I want to be part of it." Tagicakibau has 14 tries in 46 games since joining London Irish in January 2006, and director of rugby Brian Smith said was delighted he had extended his stay. "Sailosi is a brilliant try-scoring winger," said Smith. "He's already one of the finest finishers in European rugby and we are delighted that he's committed himself to the club for another three seasons."
