South Africa's wing wizard Bryan Habana has hailed the impact of former coach Jake White but admits the time is right to look to a bright future.
White left after leading the Springboks to success at the World Cup - with Habana scoring a record-equalling eight tries along the way.
However with Peter de Villiers now in charge, Habana believes the Boks need to look ahead - with the first Test against Wales in Bloemfontein on Saturday the ideal chance to see how far they have come on.
Habana told Sky Sports News: "Every coach brings a different style of where they want to go and where they want to take the team.
"I have a lot of respect for what Jake did, not only for my rugby but for South African rugby over the past four years. But you have got to put that behind you. There are new challenges and new mindsets that the new coach wants to put across.
"It has been an exciting two weeks where a lot of hard work and preparation has been done to put stuff in place for the next four years.
"It has been really good, the environment in the camp has been buzzing at the moment with everyone come back.
"We will only see how well the preparation and planning has gone after the 80 minutes against Wales."
