Winger Rory Lamont is looking forward to making his first Millennium Stadium outing when Scotland face Wales in RBS Six Nations action on Saturday.
Toulon player Lamont, who will earn his 23rd cap for Scotland in Cardiff, has been plagued by injury during his five-year international career and has never played at the Welsh national stadium as a result.
The 27-year-old missed Sunday's opening defeat to France due to an ankle problem and is thrilled to have recovered in time to appear at one of world rugby's most prominent venues.
Atmosphere
"It'll be the first time I've played at the Millennium Stadium so I'm really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere down there," said Lamont.
"One year, I was 23rd man, so I travelled with the squad. The crowd are right on you - the stadium's so steep that it really feels like they're on top of you."
Lamont damaged his ankle during Scotland's final autumn international against Argentina last November, and insists the time out has given him the chance to improve his form.
"I came back and played a couple of games before it was really ready," he said.
"It's the best it's been and I'm feeling really sharp at the moment. When you're not playing week in, week out, it allows you to improve other things.
"My strength and speed have gone through the roof."
Sensation
Lamont will be pitted against Wales wing sensation Shane Williams on Saturday, but the Scotland player insists he can overcome his opposite number.
"I've played against Shane quite a few times and I have a huge amount of respect for him," said Lamont.
"He's a phenomenal talent but I do enjoy playing against him and I'm very confident about being able to handle his talent."
