Clermont are sweating over the fitness of fly-half Brock James, hooker Mario Ledesma and loose forward Elvis Vermeulen ahead of Saturday's Top 14 semi-final against Toulon.
James took a knock to his shoulder in last weekend's play-off battle with Racing Metro was forced to miss training on Monday and Tuesday.
Vermeulen was also injured in Clermont's 21-17 win over Racing, hurting a knee and leaving him doubtful for Saturday's match in St. Etienne.
Argentina hooker Ledesma missed the play-off with a knee injury which has still not properly healed.
"I will announce the team on Friday," said coach Vern Cotter.
"We've got some complications with a few injuries. We're going to wait until the last minute to see if they're fit to play or not."
Lock Jamie Cudmore will move to the back-row if Vermeulen is not fit while Banoît Cabello will continue to stand in for Ledesma if the Pumas veteran cannot make kick-off.
A replacement for James is more of a headache with Tasesa Lavea or South African Brent Russell the candidates.
