Wales second row to remain at the Ospreys until 2013

Wales second row Ian Evans has admitted he is "chuffed to bits" to have signed a new three-year deal to stay at the Ospreys. The 25-year-old has endured a difficult couple of seasons after two major injuries saw him sidelined for a total of 12 months since November 2008. However, Evans returned to action at the end of the season to take his total of appearances for the side to 65 - with the powerful forward looking forward to now adding to that total. Evans told the club's website: "I'm chuffed to bits to have been able to sign a new contract, and to have three more years with the Ospreys. "I want to be part of a team that is building towards something special and I'm really looking forward to a bright future as part of an ambitious organisation that wants to be the best. "Obviously I've had a difficult couple of years but I'm looking forward to getting a good pre-season under my belt, entering next season fresh and free of injury and hopefully, I can have a better season and get a good run of games and more game time under my belt. "With my future sorted now there aren't any distractions for me, I just want to be able to re-establish myself at the Ospreys because there is real competition for places."
