George Smith has ended his Brumbies career by landing his ninth Brett Robinson Players' Player Award.
The Wallabies Test centurion beat the likes of Pat McCabe, Matt Giteau, Ben Alexander and captain Stephen Hoiles to the title as he signed off with the Australian-club in style.
The 29-year-old openside flanker, who will join French club Toulon this month, scored his eighth consecutive Players' Player gong, despite missing a chunk of the season through a shoulder injury.
Smith, who was also recognised for his off-field contribution with the Garry Quinlivan Service Award, was bid farewell alongside fellow club stalwart Stirling Mortlock at the team's annual presentation night.
And coach Andy Friend said Smith's two awards were an appropriate goodbye for a legend of Australian rugby.
"I guess the silver lining of George moving on is that it will finally give someone else a chance to win this award," Friend joked of Smith, who ended his Brumbies career with 128 Super Rugby caps.
"George is a once-in-a-generation player. His ability to come up with the big play time and time again is uncanny and he's been a key to the side's success over the past decade."
