Tagicakibau and Hala'ufia sign long-term contracts

London Irish have agreed new long-term contracts with winger Sailosi Tagicakibau and back-row forward Chris Hala'ufia. Samoan international Tagicakibau has agreed a new four-year deal that ties him to the club until 2015. Meanwhile, Tongan Test player Hala'ufia has extended his stay for a further three years, signing on until 2014. Both men are an integral part of an Exiles squad that currently sits in second place in the Aviva Premiership, behind runaway leaders Northampton. Irish head coach Toby Booth said: "We're delighted that Sailosi and Chris have signed long-term contracts with us. "There is no doubt that these two players have been on the wish-lists of many clubs, both in the Premiership and in France. "We've often spoken about this club's determination to continue to compete consistently with the best of the best in this country and Europe to win silverware. "Retaining the services of quality international players like Sailosi and Chris is essential to the realisation of our objectives. "
