Experienced centre rejoins after stint at Aironi
Experienced centre Rodd Penney has agreed a deal to return to Saracens after a short spell at Aironi.
Penney only joined the Italians in September as a replacement for the injured Dylan des Fountain.
However the New Zealand-born back, who made 93 appearances in four seasons at Saracens, has now agreed to head back to Vicarage Road.
Penney, who is now available for Saturday's LV=Cup clash against the Scarlets, said: "My time at Aironi was memorable and one which my wife and I will forever cherish.
"Being part of a passionate Aironi culture with such loyal supporters was a unique experience. I take with me some great friendships from Aironi. I appreciate Aironi's support in my decision to return to Saracens."
Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall is pleased to have secured Penney's signing.
He said: "We're delighted to have Rodd back with us. He knows our systems inside out and has quickly settled back into the team."
