Harlequins captain Chris Robshaw has been named the Aviva Premiership Rugby Player of the Month for January.
Robshaw has been the heartbeat of Quins side as they have brushed all aside them on an impressive run of nine wins on the bounce.
The form of the 24-year-old flanker has moved him to the brink of the England squad and seen him compared to World Cup winner Richard Hill.
And Robshaw was delighted to have become the latest player to have been chosen by the panel, which is made up of rugby media representatives from print, TV, radio and the photographers.
Robshaw said: "To receive the award after the likes of Thomas Waldrom and Tommy Hayes who have been so impressive for Leicester and Exeter respectively, it's a huge honour.
"The team have been magnificent of late and the morale around the club is sky high, it's a great place to be right now."
Quins director of rugby Conor O'Shea has hailed the impact Robshaw has had on the side.
He said: "I am delighted that Chris has received the award as it is thoroughly deserved.
"He is an outstanding player, who not only leads by example as a captain and wants to see Quins succeed, but also wants to push on for international honours, which he so richly deserves."
Heather Smith, head of sponsorship for Premiership Rugby sponsors Aviva added: "As captain of a successful Harlequins side a lot rests on Chris, yet he seems to take it all in his stride and has produced a number of stalwart performances."
