Having been overlooked by the British and Irish Lions tour to Australia, Robshaw was also told to put his feet up by England with coach Stuart Lancaster opting to take an inexperienced squad to Argentina.
However the Harlequins back-rower hasn't given up hope of a late call up for the Lions so is keeping his fitness levels up just in case.
"Everyone has sulk, mops about and things like that but you then move on," Robshaw, who was a surprise omission from Warren Gatland's Lions squad, told Sky Sports.
Scenarios
"We've got six weeks off for the summer now, so it is about enjoying yourself but still making sure you are fit in case you get that call.
"I think there are a lot of players on standby, I don't think they have gone out there and said exactly who is. It will depend on who gets injured and various scenarios as to who gets called up."
Although Robshaw will keep training during the summer months, he will allow himself to take the foot off the gas a little.
"It is one of those things where you will do a little bit of training in the morning then you can get to relax later in the day and switch off," he added.
