Worcester claimed their second successive major scalp in the Premiership, while Bath and Sale also recorded wins.

Leicester 27-31 Worcester

Worcester claimed their second successive major scalp in the Aviva Premiership when they beat Leicester 31-27 at Welford Road.

The Warriors, conquerors of Northampton last week, resisted a late fightback from the Tigers to collect maximum points, with five tries setting up their first win at Leicester in 122 years of trying.

Winger Josh Adams, who scored a hat-trick against Saints, led the way with two tries as the visitors gave their survival hopes a boost.

The other touchdowns came from Alafoti Fa'osiliva, Jack Singleton and Ryan Mills, with Chris Pennell kicking six points for the visitors - who had Nick Schonert yellow-carded in the 64th minute.

Leicester's tries came from Mike Fitzgerald, Sam Harrison and Gareth Owen, with Joe Ford kicking 12 points.

Will Cliff's penalty was the difference as Sale ended a run of three successive Aviva Premiership defeats following an 18-15 triumph over Northampton at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Northampton were the better team in the first 20 minutes, despite Faf de Klerk's early penalty, and deservedly scored two tries via Cobus Reinach and Mike Haywood.

The Saints failed to maintain that intensity, though, and Sale hit back via de Klerk and Ben Curry before Harry Mallinder equalised from the tee to set up an exciting finale.

It was the Sharks who maintained their composure in the latter stages, though, Cliff kicking a three-pointer from in front of the posts to snatch the win.

Bath kept up their challenge for an Aviva Premiership top-four place after an irresistible first-half performance set up a 38-14 victory over Harlequins.

The try bonus point was wrapped up in the first quarter after tries from Paul Grant, Freddie Burns, Elliott Stooke and Matt Banahan.

But after that a capacity crowd of 14,509 at the Rec had to be content with penalties from Burns and Josh Lewis.

Harlequins scored a try in each half through flanker Henry Cheeseman and replacement wing Gabriel Ibitoye, both converted by James Lang.
