Elliot Daly insists there is no miracle behind his unexpected recovery from knee ligament damage despite being dubbed 'Lazarus' by his England team-mates.
Daly was expected to miss the autumn internationals against Argentina, Australia and Samoa after suffering the injury with Wasps last month.
However, the 25-year-old returned to the England camp on Sunday and, having proved his fitness to head coach Eddie Jones, will start against the Pumas on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Action.
"It wasn't a misdiagnosis. It is just sometimes with the MCL ligament if your knee is stable you are able to do more. It is a kind of, 'Do it, if it hurts, stop it' type of injury," said Daly.
"Technically there is probably a bit of a tear in the MCL but I think it is very, very minor but it feels really good, back to normal and ready to go.
"I had a couple of days off and then came into the club and then realised that my knee probably wasn't as bad as we first thought and started doing some stuff on it and it felt really good and it ticked all the boxes.
"I got into camp this week and it has gone really well. I've trained fully all week and feel really good."
England centre Jonathan Joseph revealed Daly is now being called 'Lazarus' by his team-mates after his miraculous recovery.
"I didn't know he was coming in this week," said Joseph. "I rocked up on Sunday and there he was. It was great to see him and he's been good all week. I'm sure he'll play well on Saturday.
"It was great to see him. Obviously Elliot's a great player, everyone knows his form and what he's capable of doing."
