Sir Graham Henry hopes Australia improve this weekend but is not convinced they will

Sir Graham Henry hopes for an improved Australia performance in Wellington this weekend for the sake of the sport.

The former All Blacks coach spoke to Sky Sports ahead of Saturday's Rugby Championship clash between New Zealand and Australia in Wellington, with the Wallabies looking to make amends for the 42-8 thrashing they suffered in Sydney a week ago.

Henry felt the performance of Australia was worrying for the global game as a whole.

"You need quality games to attract people and attract interest," said Henry.

"Although the All Blacks played superbly last week in Sydney against the Australians, the Australians we're very, very, very poor," said Henry. "In fact, probably the worst Australian team I've ever seen.

"That is a concern for the game, a concern for rugby and I'm just hoping the Australians play a lot better this week."

The 70-year-old feels that, despite his hopes for an improved showing from the Wallabies, the result this weekend will not favour Cheika's side.
