Cusiter returns for Scotland

Chris Cusiter is the major change in Frank Hadden's starting line-up to face Samoa.

Scotland v Samoa

International Match, Sunday November 20, KO 15.00

Chris Cusiter is the major change to the Scotland line-up as they look for their first win under Frank Hadden's guidance.

The Border Reivers scrum half was left out of the 23-19 defeat to Argentina as Hadden opted for Mike Blair's familiarity with the new style of play.

However, Cusiter - who represented the British and Irish Lions - has now been called upon to open doors in the Samoa defence.

The change comes as one of four alterations to the starting line-up, with Hadden selecting an entirely new front row after the gruelling Pumas contest.

Allan Jacobsen, Scott Lawson and Craig Smith all come into the boiler room, as the Scotland boss looks to freshen up his team.

"We set down to pick a team to win the match and we would never compromise on that aim," stressed Hadden.

"We have made changes because we want to show confidence in our squad. We have four really good players - the scrum half and front row - who are worthy of an opportunity this weekend.

"In the front row, many clubs now rotate in that area and it is no reflection on the performance of any player from last weekend."

Scotland will be playing against some familiar faces when they meet Samoa at Murrayfield.

The Tuilagi brothers, Alesana and Anitele'a of Leicester Tigers, are both in the starting line-up as Samoa look to score a significant victory against their Northern Hemisphere counterparts.

Border Reivers flanker Semo Sititi captains the side, whilst former Borders man Tanner Vili will look to dictate play from fly half.

Cardiff Blues full back Roger Warren also features for the Samoans, but Opeta Palepoi is ruled out through injury.
