The All Blacks will target rookie scrum half Mike Phillips at the Millennium Stadium.
New Zealand assistant coach Wayne Smith has revealed that they will target rookie scrum half Mike Phillips during Saturday's centenary encounter.
The All Blacks view Phillips, who only has seven caps to his name, as the weak link in the Wales side and Smith made no secret of the fact that they will look to exploit his inexperience.
"It's an interesting selection isn't it?" chirped Smith.
"I've seen his tapes, he plays like a loose forward, he's very strong, tough. He's going to be a physical presence around the fringe.
"Clearly we'll have areas we're going to target and he hasn't had a lot of test matches so there'll be a little heat on him. But he looks like a pretty composed player so I'm sure he can take it."
Meanwhile, Smith also confirmed that the Kiwis' two injury doubts, Rico Gear and Richie McCaw, would be fit to feature at the Millennium Stadium.
Both players went down in training with knee and wrist blows respectively, but Smith was unconcerned by both incidents.
"Rico's fine, it was just an impact injury on the knee, but he's fine.
"I didn't see McCaw's injury, but it didn't look too significant."
