The 21-year-old will face a three-person panel, chaired by Anthony Davies, in Leeds on Tuesday.

If found guilty, the lower end sanction for such a tackle is four weeks, rising to a minimum of 12 weeks for a top end offence.

Newcastle are still looking for their first win in the competition after defeats by Northampton and Sarries, who ran out 29-18 winners at Allianz Park.
