Wallabies centre to head to New Zealand

Wasps centre Steve Kefu has agreed a deal to move to ITM Cup side Bay of Plenty. The 31-year-old former Australia international has spent two seasons at Adams Park, appearing 37 times after making the move from Castres. However Kefu, who spent eight years at the Reds before moving to Europe, has now decided to head to New Zealand for the forthcoming provincial tournament. "Former Wallaby Steve Kefu will bring experience at the highest level to the Steamers this season, having played six tests for Australia," Bay of Plenty coach Sean Horan told ONE Sport. "With the departure of Brett Mather, we were searching for a midfield player who can pass on his vast knowledge and skills, to our younger group of Steamers midfield backs."
