Ospreys lock Ian Evans has been banned for eight weeks for stamping.
Ospreys second row Ian Evans has been banned for eight weeks and two days by an ERC disciplinary committee.
Evans was the first of two Ospreys players in the dock for foul play during the Heineken Cup clash with Leicester Tigers, and the giant lock admitted to stamping on Harry Ellis.
The incident resulted in the need of an operation for the Tigers scrum half, who suffered a damaged knee and was forced off the field of play.
Evans now faces a long period on the sidelines, after being ruled out until the 20th February.
The suspension means the Ospreys man will miss the first two Six-Nations matches for Wales, which are against England and Scotland.
A verdict on Gavin Henson is still to be announced.
