Prop David Flatman is out for only three weeks after spraining his ankle.
Bath prop David Flatman has received some welcome news, after learning that his latest ankle injury is not as bad as first feared.Initial fears had suspected another lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a foot injury playing in the Guinness A League.
The England international was only three matches into his comeback after missing much of last season with an Achilles problem.
However, scans have revealed that the loosehead had only sprained his ankle, meaning a rather less frustrating three to four weeks out of action.
Bath coach Mike Foley confirmed to the club website: "When Flats went down last night we all really felt for him and were keeping everything crossed that it was not his Achilles."As ironic as it might sound we were all relieved when the injury was confirmed as a grade one sprain.
"He is such an impactful player and this injury is just a minor set back in what has been a long recovery."
