Australia skipper David Pocock is a doubt for his side's trip to Eden Park next Saturday after sustaining damage to his knee cartilage.

Australia skipper injured knee in Rugby Championship opener

Australia captain David Pocock suffered cartilage damage to his right knee during his side's 27-19 defeat to the All Blacks on August 18. Scans confirmed Pocock's injury, compounding the Wallabies' poor start to their Rugby Championship campaign in Sydney. With Australia making the return trip to Eden Park on August 25, the Australian Rugby Union will make an announcement on Pocock's prognosis on Monday. Meanwhile, Ben McCalman - who was training with the Australian squad - has undergone surgery on his forearm. McCalman - the Western Force's number eight - was on the recovery trail from a shoulder injury but is now expected to miss another three months of action.
