Australia will be without Adam Ashley-Cooper and Wycliff Palu for this Saturday's Rugby Championship encounter with Argentina.
Vice-captain Ashley-Cooper will miss the match due to an ongoing nerve compression injury in his neck, while Palu will follow concussion protocols before returning after suffering a blow to the head in the win over South Africa.
Australia are also monitoring the fitness of prop James Slipper, who is suffering soreness around his neck and shoulders.
"It's disappointing to lose two experienced members of our squad ahead of what is an extremely important game against Argentina," said Australia coach Ewen McKenzie.
"However, this year we've taken a proactive approach to making early decisions around guys carrying injuries, which is the case here.
“As is always the case with sport, the next guy in line now gets a chance to step-up and take advantage of the opportunity they'll be given."
Jake Schatz, Will Genia, Saia Faingaa and Benn Robinson will all train with the Wallabies ahead of the visit of the Pumas.
