Former All Black joining Irish province for 2012/13 campaign

Munster have announced the signing of centre Casey Laulala from Cardiff Blues on a two-year contract for next season. It follows their swoop for Northampton centre James Downey, who will also link up with the twice Heineken Cup winners in the 2012/13 campaign. Laulala, capped twice by the All Blacks, made his Blues debut just over two years ago, having previously played Super 14 rugby with the Canterbury-based Crusaders. "We are obviously delighted that we've managed to secure the services of a player of his undoubted calibre for the next two seasons," said Munster coach Tony McGahan. "We are only too well aware of his rugby capabilities, having come up against him first-hand for the past number of seasons. "We believe he will not only make a strong contribution on-field, but also act as a mentor to the emerging back division talent we have in our squad."
