The Wales international is widely expected to join Northampton at the end of the season, which would bring in much-needed funds for the cash-strapped Scarlets.
The 20-year-old, who has a year remaining on his contract, has been told the decision on whether to move is entirely up to him, but forwards coach Danny Wilson believes he will stay focused on the job in hand.
Ahead of Saturday's trip to the Newport-Gwent Dragons, Wilson said: "We are concentrating wholeheartedly on this game and George is no different.
"He's a very good professional and while he's got that shirt on, I know he'll give 100 per cent for the Scarlets as he's done for Wales.
"It's great to see him out there and him and everyone else involved is focusing on the Dragons first and foremost and then what comes next."
The Dragons will be strengthened by the return of Dan Lydiate after six months out with a broken ankle, and Wilson added: "It's fantastic to see Dan back, the guy is such a good professional.
"He will have worked extremely hard and done everything he was asked to do in terms of rehab to make sure he's back. He's a talisman for the Dragons. Seeing him on the team-sheet is great for Welsh rugby."
