With the first Test against Australia fast approaching, the players have all the incentive they need to maintain their winning run at the Allianz Stadium.
And Warburton insists that the game against the Waratahs and Tuesday's clash with the Brumbies present the Lions with ideal chances to stake claims for a Test place.
"I think players are always trying to impress," said Warburton, who will start in the No 7 shirt against the 'Tahs.
"It doesn't matter what game it is or when, you always want to have a good game.
"All the players naturally put pressure on themselves. Nobody is reading into anything, there is still plenty to prove and a couple of games to go so the players will try to take this opportunity."
Warburton had been part of an all-Wales back-row in the 22-12 win over the Reds last Saturday.
However he will team up with England's Tom Croft and Ireland's Jamie Heaslip in Sydney, and Warburton can't wait to see how the new combination gets on.
"I am really looking forward to playing with Tom and Jamie this time," he said.
"Tom, lineout wise, has been awesome in training, while Jamie's attack has been great in terms of ball carrying so it is an interesting trio and I am really looking forward to seeing how it goes.
"You want to come on Lions tours to try and play in different combinations and with guys like Crofty and Jamie so I am really looking forward to it."
