Former France coach and current Toulon director Bernard Laporte has been handed a 60-day ban by the French National Rugby League.
Laporte was given the suspension following comments he made about the level of refereeing during recent Top 14 games.
The former French secretary of state for sport criticised the performance of the officials after his team's 22-22 draw against Perpignan, as well as their previous 19-6 win against Montpellier.
In a club statement Toulon said: "The club has the possibility of appealing this sanction in the coming days."
Club owner and president Mourad Boudjellal is currently serving a 130-day ban after using colourful language to describe the refereeing in a Top 14 game against Clermont-Ferrand in January.
