London Welsh have confirmed new contracts for front rowers Nathan Trevett, Koree Britton, Nathan Morris and Ben Cooper.

The Exiles, who have taken just a single point from their Premiership campaign this season, continue preparations for a return to the Championship by signing up the quartet and have now secured the futures of 16 first-team players.

London Welsh director of rugby Steve Lewis said: "We know from experience that the scrum is a fiercely contested aspect of the game in the Championship and a competitive front row is essential.

"Today's announcement is hugely significant as we prepare to mount a challenge for an immediate return to the Premiership.

"There is a substantial amount of experience in these re-signings and also in the group already in contract, and this will be essential next season.

"Our forward pack is beginning to take shape and we will be able to announce some exciting new additions soon."

London Welsh face a daunting trip to tackle Leicester at Welford Road in their next Premiership fixture on April 25.
