Lee Smith: Looking to put himself in the shop window after joining on loan
Matty Smith: Poised to make his Wigan debut on Sunday
Leaders Wigan Warriors will be looking to return to winning ways against Wakefield after being shocked by Bradford last time out.
Shaun Wane's team were upset by the struggling Bulls on home soil, although second-placed Warrington failed to close the gap having lost at Salford.
Wigan still retain their three-point lead at the top of the table and Wane will be confident of getting the better of the 11th-placed Wildcats.
The Warriors have been strengthened ahead of Sunday's game by the capture of Salford City Reds half-back Matty Smith.
The former St Helens man is set to make his Wigan debut with New Zealand international Thomas Leuluai unavailable due to a broken leg.
Harrison Hansen makes a timely return after recovering from a broken jaw picked up in their Magic Weekend win over the Saints as does Chris Tuson who is back following an ankle problem.
Missing from the squad that lost to the Bulls through injury are Josh Charnley (calf) and in-form hooker Michael McIlorum, who sustained a knock in training.
Wakefield are set to hand a debut to a fresh face of their own after completing the signing of Lee Smith on loan from Leeds Rhinos on Thursday.
Smith takes the place in the squad of Vince Mellars who requires surgery on a detached retina and is scheduled to be out for two months after his operation.
Wakefield: Mathers, Fox, L. Smith, Cockayne, John, Wood, Raleigh, Lauitiiti, Washbrook, Aiton, Amor, Johnson, Kirmond, Trout, T. Smith, Wilkes, Sykes, James, Walshaw
Wigan: S. Tomkins, Goulding, Carmont, Finch, Mossop, Hansen, Hock, O'Loughlin, Farrell, Tuson, Lauaki, Flower, Gelling, L. Tomkins, Spencer, Crosby, Murphy, Thornley, Smith
