Leeds Rhinos travel to face Warrington Wolves in the first round of Super League play-offs this weekend.

Both sides enter Saturday's crucial encounter with back-to-back wins as second plays third for a place in the qualifying semi-final in two weeks' time.

Wolves ended their regular season fixture list in nail-biting fashion as they narrowly beat Catalan Dragons 14-12 at the Stade Gilbert Brutus.

Victory in Perpignan took Tony Smith's men within one point of the League Leaders' Shield winners Huddersfield Giants as the tournament enters the knockout stages.

After four wins in their last five outings, Smith has named an unchanged 19-man squad.

"We are expecting another exciting, high quality game against a very experienced team in the playoffs," he told the club's official site.

"We'd like to think that we've learnt a bit from the play-offs last year and will take that into account which will hopefully stand us in good stead."

Strong

Meanwhile Brian McDermott makes just one change to his squad following a 20-6 victory over Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium in the final round of regular-season action.

Last Thursday's win clinched third place in the overall standings for the Rhinos, leaving the Warriors to settle for fourth spot.

Rhinos prop Ryan Bailey is available for selection after missing last week's game through suspension, meaning there is no place in the squad for 19-year-old back row Alex Foster.

"We've had a good season, we've had our ups and downs but we have finished the regular season with a strong performance against Wigan," McDermott told the club's official site.

"This is a tough trip [to Warrington] and it's a big ask to beat them in their own back yard, we know we have to be better but the approach will be no different, everybody at the club wants to win."

The sides have locked horns twice this season with the honours even but Saturday's winner will go straight into the qualifying semi-final, while the loser will have one more chance to progress next week.

Just four points separated the pair at the climax of the regular season with Wolves holding the advantage with 20 wins, in contrast to the 18 the Rhinos have collected.

Wolves squad: Atkins, C. Bridge, Briers, Carvell, Cooper, Evans, Grix, Harrison, Higham, Hill, Hodgson, J. Monaghan, M. Monaghan, Morley, Ratchford, C. Riley, Waterhouse, Westwood, Wood

Rhinos squad: Hardaker, Jones-Bishop, Watkins, Moon, Hall, McGuire, Burrow, Leuluai, Peacock, Jones-Buchanan, Ablett, Sinfield, Delaney, Bailey, Kirke, Clarkson, Achurch, Singleton, Sutcliffe
