Salford Red Devils will be out to halt a two-game losing run against a Warrington Wolves team who made it back-to-back wins last weekend.

The Red Devils went down to Widnes Vikings last Thursday while the Wolves overturned a half-time deficit to strugglers London Broncos to run out comfortable winners.

Salford do not have the best of recent records against Warrington after being thrashed in both of last season's meetings with Wolves racking up 114 points in the process and conceding just 14.

Red Devils head coach Brian Noble will give a debut to outside back Dom Manfredi following his arrival from Wigan on loan while forward Jordan Walne is set to replace the suspended Steve Rapira.

Full-back Jake Mullaney and centre Junior Sa'u are included despite picking up injuries in the defeat at Widnes. Adrian Morley is set to play against Warrington having left Wolves for his hometown club.

Big close-season capture Rangi Chase is still missing for the Red Devils. The former Castleford Tigers could return to training next week. Gareth Hock also remains sidelined.

Attacking threat

Noble is delighted to have added Manfredi for the visit of Warrington: "He will provide us with much needed cover and some added competition across our back line, whilst adding another facet to our attacking threat."

Warrington have winger Joel Monaghan and loose forward Simon Grix back from injury while hooker Micky Higham returns after being rested for the win over London Broncos. Ben Currie loses his place in the pack.

Wolves boss Tony Smith is not expecting an easy ride against the Red Devils, telling the club's official website: "Salford were difficult last time and will be difficult this time too.

"They've shown in patches what they are capable of and I'm sure they are striving to find that 80 minute effort as we are. We haven't quite put that together ourselves but we are striving for that and hopefully we can do that on the weekend.

"We understand they've got many experienced and talented players and it's only a matter of time before they put it together. We need to make sure we pull it together this week for longer than 50 minutes."
